Three language choices, not one
The original language identifies the production. Audio tracks tell you which spoken versions an edition offers. Subtitles tell you which written translations or captions can accompany it. Cinebox’s language filters use the first of those, so an English filter does not search every available English dub.
Finding the film across different names
Try the English release title, original title or a shorter distinctive phrase. Open the result to compare its year and cast. This is especially useful when the film’s international poster uses a different name from the one you remember.
Before you settle in
At the viewing destination, check the language menu for the edition you selected. A subtitle track offered in one country may not appear with another edition. If several tracks share a language name, one may include captions for sound effects and speaker identification while another focuses on dialogue.
Making subtitles easier to read
Where the player allows it, adjust text size, background and contrast to suit the screen. A television across the room needs a different size from a phone in your hand. Subtitle delay controls, downloads and custom-file support vary by player; they are not controls supplied by Cinebox’s catalogue pages.
If subtitles belong to the wrong scene, confirm the film edition before adjusting timing. A different cut can create more than a small delay. For missing audio or controls that do not respond, continue with playback help.
